When to Use This?
Use the paste tool when:
- You haven't created a Google API key yet (see the article "Create Your Own Google API Key" if you want automatic updates later).
- You want to quickly add a new review to your site without waiting for the cache to refresh.
- You're looking for the simplest solution β no Google Cloud, no developer needed.
It's literally: copy, paste, save.
What Does the Tool Do?
You open your Google Maps page, select all the text, and copy it. Then, you paste everything into a field in your admin area. The tool automatically recognizes the names, dates, and review texts and displays them on your homepage.

Too many reviews? Too few? Just paste a different selection and click Recognize again. You can repeat this as many times as you want β nothing will happen on your website yet.
Step 6: Save
Happy with the result? Click Save. From that moment on, your homepage will display the new reviews.

What Does the Tool Recognize?
Recognized:
- Reviews with a name +
X months ago(orX years ago/a week ago) + text β the standard Google Maps format.
- The average score (e.g.,
4.8) and the total number of reviews (e.g.,(124 reviews)) if they are in the copied text.
Not Recognized:
- Photo-only reviews without written text.
- Reviews that are still collapsed with a More button β click it open before copying.
Tips for a Nice Impression on Your Site
- Paste 6 to 10 reviews β more looks messy on your homepage.
- Mix different services if you offer multiple ones (e.g., car, scooter, and motorcycle for a driving school) β it gives visitors a broader view.
- Update reviews once a month. It takes 30 seconds and keeps your site fresh.
- Prefer reviews with actual written text β a few sentences work better than single words like "Great!".

What If I Want Automatic Updates Anyway?
Want reviews to update automatically without copying and pasting? Fill in your Google Cloud API key under Google Connection in the sidebar. Read the separate article "Create Your Own Google API Key" β it explains step by step how to do it.
From that moment on, your site will automatically fetch new reviews every 12 hours. The paste tool will still be available β handy if you want to quickly add a new review without waiting for the cache to refresh.

Frequently Asked Questions
It Doesn't Recognize Anything
Paste the lines that say X months ago or X years ago as well. Without these markers, the tool won't know where a review starts and ends. Select the review list generously β better too much text than too little.
It Recognizes the Wrong Name
The name the tool picks up is usually the line right above X reviews or above the date. If something's wrong, paste the copied text into a text editor (e.g., Notepad or TextEdit), adjust the name, and copy-paste it into the admin again.
My Reviews on the Site Don't Update
Your browser might cache pages for up to 5 minutes. Do a hard refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) on your homepage β you'll see the new reviews immediately.
Can I Delete Individual Reviews?
Yes. Open Paste Reviews again, paste a new selection without the review you want to remove, and click Save. The old list will be replaced.
