Linking Google Ads β€” JSON Workflow

Two Routes

Route A β€” OAuth (Automatic) IT Live directly connects to your Google Ads account, creates campaigns, and monitors them in real-time.

Route B β€” JSON Export (Manual Import) We generate ready-to-use Google Ads JSON/CSV files. You (or your advertiser) can import them into Google Ads Editor with a single click.

Route B is useful if you have an in-house marketing team or agency that uses Ads Editor.

Route A: OAuth Connection

  1. Settings β†’ Google β†’ Link Google Ads
  2. Log in with the Google account that owns your Ads account
  3. Grant permission for the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords
  4. IT Live will ask for your Customer ID (10-digit, e.g., 123-456-7890)
  5. Done β€” IT Live can now create, pause, and report on campaigns

Route B: JSON Workflow

In IT Live, you can click on "Export Google Ads JSON" for each campaign. You'll get:

  • Campaign structure (type, budget, location)
  • Ad groups with keywords (match type marked)
  • Responsive Search Ads (3 headlines + 2 descriptions each)
  • Extension templates (sitelinks, call, location)

Import into Google Ads Editor:

  1. Open Ads Editor β†’ Account β†’ Import
  2. Choose our JSON file
  3. Review β†’ Post Changes

Requirements for Both Routes

  • Active Google Ads account with a credit card
  • Google Merchant Center (if you have an online store)
  • Google Tag Manager on your website (IT Live will install this)
  • Conversion tracking β€” minimum 1 conversion per 30 days for the algorithm

Rate Limits

Google Ads API: 15,000 operations per day per developer token β€” more than enough for normal usage. IT Live will queue jobs if you make multiple campaign changes at once.
